Rob Freimuller & Liam Clark - Cross-County Collage
Cross-County Collage is a project created by Liam Clark & Rob Freimuller, two artists from Ipswich, Suffolk who both studied Fine Art at Norwich University College of the Arts.
After graduating from university Liam stayed in Norwich, whilst Rob moved back to Ipswich, but both wanted to continue collaborating.
The Cross-County Collage project was created as a way of continuing to work in a collaborative manner, despite living in different counties.
Each artist creates a set of background images, on A5 paper, then posts them, for the other to add a second layer. All of the imagery already exists, nothing is printed especially for the work.
As the artists both work away from one another all of the layers added are simply a reaction to the already existing imagery, there is no intended outcome, no considered meaning but simply an experimentation in cutting and pasting.
